Kaye Lou Silva

It is with much sadness and regret that I announce the funeral of one of our long time Main Street Matriarch's; Kaye Silva. Kaye and John operated Kaye's Kitchen for many years, having inherited it from John's father, Tony Silva who originally opened it as Tony's Restaurant back in the early 1950's. For those of you who knew her, she was always a pleasure to be around, especially when she was on-duty, running the restaurant. She always greeted everyone, whether she knew them or not, as if they were her best customers and life-long friends. She was a wonderful employer as well. I personally had the pleasure of working for the family as a busboy while I was in high school and have many fond memories of my time spent there with John, Kaye and Jim Schierberl when he was their lead chef. She will be greatly missed. Service will be next Friday, March 18th at 11:00 am at the Baptist Church at Euclid and Stanford. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kaye's surviving family.
