Her parents were Ina Mae and Seymour Watson Goodson
She had an older sibling, Helen Goodson, you she always referred to as “Sister”
She lived in Jacksonville until her teens, when she moved
To Southern California
In her late teens, she met and fell in Love with John Robert Kaylor
Margie and John married on August 21, 1948, just three days
Following her 18th Birthday
Margie became a Mother for the first time when her Son,
Robert Wayne Kaylor was born on January 2, 1950
Seven years later, Margie became a Mother for the second time when
Her Daughter, Joyce Diane Kaylor was born on May 24, 1957
The Family moved to Westminster, California four days before Christmas in 1963. She was very excited to move into her first and only new home
Unfortunately, just 11 months later, she became a very young widow, when John passed away leaving, her to raise her two young children
In 1970, she became a Mother-in-Law when Wayne married Sherry
Wayne and Sherry made her a Grandmother on February 22, 1973 when her one and only Grandchild was born, William Robert Kaylor
Margie married for a second time on August 31, 1974 when she married a man with the same name as her first husband, John Robert Kaylor
Margie became a widow for the second time when John passed in 1978
Margie continued to reside at the same home that she and John purchased in 1963 until her passing.
Margie also had two Nephews, Stephen and David McLemore
There were also several Great nieces and Nephews, and Great Great Nieces and Nephews
In her earlier years she enjoyed working in her garden, and tending to her dichondra lawn. Her dichondra lawn was her pride and joy, and she did not like to see anyone walking on the lawn
She loves her little Strawberry Finch, Freckles, as he sings to her all the time. She also liked to watch the Hummingbirds at the feeder in the backyard
Her great Specialty that everyone loved was her famous
German Chocolate Cake
Following her stroke in 2009, Margie was no longer able to tend to her garden.
Her interests then changed to McDonald’s, See’s Candy, Ice Cream, and Lettuce Wraps
Margie leaves, behind not only her family, but many friends and neighbors that Loved her very much
