Paul Lee Vandagrifft

Born in Santa Ana, California, Paul began his journey through life with a vibrant curiosity and creative spirit. From an early age, his imagination and love of learning were evident to all who knew him. He began his education at Newhope Elementary School and later attended Fitz Junior High School, where he continued to grow into the intelligent and spirited person so many came to know.

A gifted writer and a devoted gardener, Paul found joy in crafting stories, nurturing plants, and engaging in thoughtful exploration of the world around him. His favorite interests included music, history, and genealogy. Professionally, Paul pursued work in the newspaper where he exhibited his passion and gift for storytelling. With a sharp sense of humor and a way of looking at the world, Paul had a way of making things more interesting; Whether it was making people laugh or making them think, he always had something unique to say.

Those who knew him remember him as intelligent, funny, imaginative, and wonderfully quirky. Pual had a unique way of looking at the world and an ability to make others see the beauty and humor in everyday moments.

Paul is survived by his sisters; Valerie Dowden and Terry Delgado, and brother; Tonyray Trujillo.

A celebration of life for Paul will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Dimond & Shannon Mortuary, 10630 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840.
