Phyllis T. Banfield

Phyllis Banfield passed peacefully on June 4, 2023 in Garden Grove, California at the age of 92. Phyllis was born the youngest of three children, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on August 28, 1930 to Henry & Marcella Diebold.

Phyllis graduated from Cambridge High School in 1948. Phyllis married her lifelong love Richard "Dick" Banfield in July, 1955 and moved to California and settled in Garden Grove.

Phyllis and Dick would welcome one child, Richard "Rick" Banfield.

Phyllis was a wonderful Grandmother to Lindsay Vorwerk and Emily Banfield also Great-grandmother to Maddie Vorwerk, Wonderful Aunt and the Best Mother-In-Law to Annabelle, Rick's wife. She was a loyal friend to Lorraine, Char and Jane. She was also an Avon Lady for 50 years.

Phyllis and Dick loved taking their granddaughters to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm as often as possible, and they would often take train trips to Ebensburg, Pennsylvania. Phyllis loved Antique stores and Goodwill shopping.

The family will always remember their trips to Las Vegas with Phyllis and Dick, and their trips to San Diego with the family.

Later on the family would take the "old bittys" Phyllis and Grandma Chela to Laughlin every month, where Phyllis would be the first one down to the Casino, Phyllis loved he video poker.
