

Sandra Fairbanks, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025. Born in Tacoma, Washington on March 7, 1938, Sandra’s life was a testament to kindness, devotion, and energy.
Sandra was born and raised in Tacoma, where she attended St. Leo’s High School. She went on to Seattle University, where she furthered her education before embarking on a life full of family, career, and community.
In 1957, Sandra married Bill Crawford, and together they shared three wonderful children: Michael Crawford, Michele Arambula, and Jack Crawford. After their divorce in 1984, Sandra found love again and married Thomas Fairbanks in 1986. They shared a beautiful life together until his passing in 2017. Sandra also lovingly embraced her stepchildren, Brian Fairbanks and Kristine Logan, into her heart and family.
Sandra worked in the Westminster School District for over 40 years, where she was a secretary and office manager for most of those years. She was a valued member of the team and a bright presence to everyone she encountered.
Outside of work, Sandra’s life was filled with joy and adventure. She had a deep love for travel and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She cherished card games, frequent trips to the casino, and leisurely walks with Gibbs, the neighbor’s dog. She was also a member of the Emblem Club at the Elks Lodge.
Sandra was known for her gregarious personality, boundless energy, and unwavering love for her family and friends. A devout and compassionate Catholic, she brought light into the lives of everyone she met. She will be remembered as a dynamo of positivity, humor, and warmth.
