Katherine was born in Taft, California, to Ed and May Eggert. From the very beginning,
family and faith were at the heart of her life. A devoted Catholic, she lived her faith daily
through love, kindness, and deep devotion to those around her.
Katherine’s greatest joy was her family—especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren,
who were truly the light of her life. She was a constant source of warmth, wisdom, and
unconditional love, and her presence made every gathering feel like home.
She is survived by her son Ed (Heidi) and daughter Florianne (Dan); her grandchildren
Joanna, Joshua, Jana, Justin, Jenny, Jeremy, Davis, Rachel, and Heather; her greatgrandchildren
Kennedy, Eli, Ezra, Israel, Henry, and Molly; and her beloved sister MaryAnn.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dan; her parents Ed and May Eggert; her
brothers Tommy, Harry, James, and Freddy; and many dear cousins and friends who
welcomed her home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on February 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery,
Risen Christ Chapel, 5835 West Slauson Avenue, Culver City, California, with interment to
follow.
A Celebration of Life will take place on February 21, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at the Culver City
Hilton, 6161 West Centinela Avenue, Culver City, California, where family and friends will
gather to honor, remember, and celebrate Katherine’s beautiful life.
Katherine will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her. Her legacy of faith,
love, and family will live on through generations.
