M. Ruth Jerge Hall, age 92, of Gasport, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 17 2018 at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport. Born September 7, 1925 in Olean, NY, Ruth is the daughter of the late Archie and Christina (Koch) Cook.
She was a 1943 graduate of Tonawanda High School. Ruth married Donald Jerge September 8, 1951 and moved to Royalton. Mr. Jerge died in 2007. Ruth married John Hall in 2008. She worked at Becker Farms baking pies from 1988 until 2008 and also at Halls Apple Farm in Lockport for 19 years. She regularly appeared on AM Buffalo for 10 years demonstrating Pies and dessert making.
Ruth was a cub-scout den mother and 4-H leader, a Sunday school teacher, member of the Ridgewood Bible Church, Royalton Historical Society and Volunteer at Lockport Memorial Hospital.
Surviving Ruth is her husband John and children: Stephen C. (Kriston Okuna) Jerge, Robert (Deborah) Jerge and Suzanne (William) Fisher. Sister of: the late; Stanley Cook, Jane Baer and Elizabeth Reeves. Ruth is also survived by grandchildren: Kevin, Kristin, Justin, Emily, Kristopher and Lauren, 10 great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Ridgewood Bible Church, 7073 Ridge Road, Lockport, NY at 6:30 pm. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery, Gasport, NY.
