She was born on December 6, 1934 in Robbinsville, NC. She married Glenn David Anthony on June 13,1953 and was married for 37 years before his death. They had three beautiful daughters together. She was a homemaker, always taking care of her family and friends.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents, Pearlie Hill and Theatus Carter; husband, Glenn Anthony; daughter, Lynette Gay Anthony; brother, Quentin Hill; and sisters, Virginia Whitworth Fannie “Jo" Johnson and Molly Newton.
She is survived by two daughters; Terece Miller and spouse, Leon “Buddy" of Belmont, NC and Christy Anthony of Gastonia, NC; granddaughter, Leslie Summey of Concord , NC; niece, Angie Foy and spouse, Scott of Gastonia, NC. Anita is also survived by her cat companion, Lucky.

A private graveside service will be held at Gaston Memorial Park provided by Carothers Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Jan Deans.
