Barbara Norris Long

A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Marion Norris and Marie Tabor Rogers.

Mrs. Long was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Curtis Long of Gastonia; children, Michael Hopper and wife Rhonda of Dublin, VA, Kim Walker and husband Freddie of Cliffside; stepchildren, Kimberly Diab and husband Ahmed of Raleigh, Jennifer McElrath of Bessemer City; sister, Lynda Cross of Iron Station; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brother; a sister.

The memorial service will be held at 5pm Sunday October 20, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia with Rev. Marti Hatch officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
