Betty Petty Sasser

Betty Sue Petty Sasser, 85, of Gastonia, passed away on Thursday, November 01, 2012 at Abingdon Place of Gastonia. She was born in Gastonia and was the daughter of the late Junior Lee and Verdie Medlin Petty.

Mrs. Sasser was former salesperson with the Army-Navy Surplus Store in Charlotte and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Sasser is survived by two sisters, Colleen Williams of Gastonia, Sarah Mullinax of Charlotte; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia with the Funeral Service to be at 1:00 p. m. Saturday at The Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral with Rev. Ron Watts officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

Mrs. Sasser was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward T. Sasser; two sisters, Joyce Kitchen, Nancy Yarborough; brother, Max Petty.
