She was born on August 25, 1952 in Bellavista Callao, Peru to the late Daniel Venancio Martinez Triviños and the late Luisa Carolina Echeandia Velarde. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Jack, Daniel, and Elena.
Carolina was a woman whose life was always in motion—full of energy, warmth, and a love for the people around her. She found joy in the simple, everyday moments, especially when she was cooking for the ones she loved. Her kitchen was her heart, a place where she poured her care into every meal and made sure no one ever left hungry. For more than a decade, Carolina was a devoted member of St. Michael’s Church, where she found faith, friendship, and a sense of belonging. Her church community was an important part of her life, and she cherished the connections she built there. Carolina had a natural gift for capturing memories. As the family photographer, she was always behind the camera—documenting birthdays, holidays, and the little moments that might have otherwise slipped by. Her photos became treasured keepsakes, each one reflecting her love for her family. She loved to dance, to shop, and to stay busy. Whether she was out running errands, planning something new, or simply finding a reason to move, Carolina was never one to sit still for long. Her friendly nature made her easy to love; she welcomed everyone with kindness and had a way of making people feel comfortable and cared for. Above all, Carolina adored her family. They were the center of her world, and she showed her love through her time, her laughter, her food, and her constant presence. Her spirit was bright, her heart was generous, and her love will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Juan Pablo Ricra; son, Rafael Ricra (Angelica), daughter, Carmen Ricra and Maria Ricra (Mario Zevallos), sister, Gladys Cina (Louis Cina), Carmen Gomez (Nestor), Luisa Arriaza (Humberto); grandchildren, Sofia, Samantha, Nicolas; and great grandchild Xilenia.
