A die hard avid Chicago Cubs fan best describes Charles Andrew Hill, 78, who passed away Monday, December 18, 2017. Charles was born in Cook County, IL on April 20, 1939 to the late Harold and Ruth Ann (Griffin) Hill. He worked for over 40 years in the Printing Ink business. He loved to play golf, fish and bowl if he wasn’t watching the Cubs play. He also enjoyed playing the banjo and watching the Green Bay Packers. Charles will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Charles is survived by two sons, John Hill and wife, Tracy of Charlotte, NC, Patrick Hill of Kings Mountain, NC; daughter-in-law, Christy Hill; grandchildren, Brian and Michael Hill, and Kathreen and Kristian Hill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Jo Hill, daughter, Katherine Grace Hill, son, Andrew Orin Hill, brother, Jim Hill and sister, Nancy Evans.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Mount Holly, NC.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia, NC.
