Clyde Lewis Smith

A native of Reidsville, NC, he was the son of the late Hubert and Myrtle Smith.

Mr. Smith was a WWII US Army veteran and one of the first members of the NC Air National Guard in Charlotte.

He is survived by his sons, Jerry Smith and wife Pat, Larry Smith and wife Sylvia; brother, Ted Smith; sisters, Doris Little, Barbara Henry; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita H. Smith; daughter, Vicky Cheatham; brothers, Robert Smith, Carroll Smith; and one grandson.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday at Forest Lawn West Funeral and Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Dr., Charlotte, NC 28208.

Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2pm Friday at Forest Lawn West Funeral and Cremation Service prior to the service.
