Deanna Lee Rittinger

Our loving mother, Deanna Lee Rittinger, of Gastonia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at The Greens at Gastonia after a brief illness. Deanna was born on October 10, 1940, in Ross County, Ohio to the late Leonard and Gwendolyn Rittinger. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by daughter Pamela Lee Holland.

She is survived by her son, Robert Maughmer and wife, Sadie of Clover, SC; daughter, Penny Holland, of Gastonia, NC; brother, Wendy Rittinger and wife Marilyn of Chillicothe Ohio; six grandchildren - Denise Robert, Charles, Seth, Leah, Austin, seven great grandchildren, extended family and many friends.

Deanna traveled extensively in her early years and settled in Gastonia, NC in 1975, devoting her life to raising her three children. After retiring in 2004 from her career in retail, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, weekly bingo, playing cards with her friends, and spending time with her family. Deanna was a generous caring person who supported multiple charities.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 11, 2024, 3:00 pm -5:00 pm at The ARP Manor 2900 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
