

Dorothy “Dot” Elizabeth (Sain) Fowler, 93, of Lincolnton passed away peacefully on Friday November 12, 2021. Dot was an active member of Antioch Lutheran Church in Dallas, North Carolina. She loved her church and her church family. She worked for many years at Shelton Dry Cleaners in Dallas and she thoroughly enjoyed her work and co-workers. Dot loved her family. She was a faithful wife, sister, aunt and great-aunt. Being with her family gave her much joy. She liked to travel and when her late husband, Samuel Fowler, was alive they would often travel to near and far flea markets. Her late husband was an angler and she often accompanied him to the beach to fish. Dot will be missed by many.
Dot is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Samuel Fowler, her parents, Ethel Sain and Void Alvin Sain, and her sisters Margie Myers and Jo Ann Canipe.
Dot leaves behind her brother Ted Sain (Karen), nieces, Shelia Roush (Frank), Gail Swanson (Joe), Rita Hefner (Kevin) and Pam Mackie (Brian), her nephews Carroll Canipe (Virginia) and Chris Canipe (Kim). Dot’s legacy includes many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday November 15, 2021 at the Dallas Funeral Home, 212 West Trade Street, Dallas, North Carolina.
Following the visitation family and friends will gather at the graveside at Antioch Lutheran Church Cemetery, 330 Old NC 277 Loop Road, Dallas, North Carolina. Reverend Andrew Weisner will officiate and offer words of encouragement and hope to family and friends that gather to remember Dot.
