Jerry Brodus Edwards

Jerry Brodus Edwards, age 81, died April 6, 2010 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. He was a Native of Cleveland County, NC and the son of the late Ralph and Qullia Mae Gossett Edwards.

Mr. Edwards retired from Firestone Mills after 21 years of service and was a resident of White Oaks Manor in York, SC.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Mary Bostic Edwards, two sons; Roger Edwards and wife Sherry of Gastonia, Steve Edwards and companion Hope Green of Clover, grandson; Roger Edwards Jr. and wife Kim, three great grandchildren; Kari, Heather and Justin Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers Tom, Flay and Bronson Edwards.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday at the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia with the Rev. Mike Stafford and Rev. Rusty Fleming officiating.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.

The family will receive friends at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Friday.
