It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, John Swart Parker, Jr., on February 15, 2026. John was born on February 24, 1930, in the village of Earlville, NY to Dr. John Swart Parker Sr, and Nina Elphie Parker. John was the youngest of four children, which included his sisters Doris, Constance, and Barbara Jean,
John was a devoted and caring husband for 71 years to Mary Phyllis, lovingly and selflessly caring for her as she battled Alzheimer's/Dementia. He was a devoted father to his four children, John Swart, III, Debra, Marcia, and Cheryl. He was a proud ‘grandpa’ to two granddaughters Charity and Harmony. He adored his four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Mallory, Emma, and Tessa,
John was a gifted jazz pianist, graduating from Florida Southern College with a B.S. degree in music education. He had his own Baldwin Piano dealership in Florida and South Carolina for many years. He worked for the Steinway dealership in N.C. until the age of 92!
Both John and his wife Phyllis always brought joy to everyone they met.
John’s Kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.
We will miss him, but we know that he is in Heaven with our mother. Together they are lighting up the heavens with their music and love!
