

Johnny Dwight Cartrett, age 45, of Lincolnton, died Friday, September 30, 2010 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born in Mecklenburg County and is the son of Johnny Cartrett of Lincolnton and Dorothy Vance of Mt. Holly.
Mr. Cartrett is a member of Revival Tabernacle, Stanley.
Mr. Cartrett is survived by his mother, Dorothy Vance of Mt. Holly, father, Johnny Cartrett and wife Josie of Lincolnton; two sisters, Sandra K. Cartrett and companion, Charles Johnson of Gastonia, Sherry Marie Horner of Lowell, two step-brothers, Larry Black and wife Shannon of Maiden, Benny Ray Black and wife Roxanne of Stanley, one step-sister, Joann Dewey and husband Clayton of Maiden; three nieces, Crystal Wilson and husband T.C. of New York, Ashton Effler of Sumter, South Carolina; great nieces, Kylie Wilson, Gracin Henderson and Kailey Holcomb, great nephew, T. C. Wilson, Jr.; special friends, Leonard “Donnie” Brown and Danny Moss of Lincolnton.
Memorial services will be 3:00 P. M. Saturday at The Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia with Rev. Mark Etchison officiating and following the memorial service, the family will be at the home of Sandra K. Cartrett, 3306 Mistletoe Lane, Gastonia.
Burial will be private and at a later date.
Mr. Cartrett was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Blair; niece, Adrian Blair.
