~Her husband, Bill Deal~
Joyce Ann Mitchell Deal, age 82, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia with her loving husband and caring family by her side. Joyce and Bill were inseparable. She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many and will not be forgotten by anyone who knew her. She was a dedicated member in her Church and an encourager to others.
Those left to cherish Joyce’s memories and carry on her legacy are her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, William “Bill” Reid Deal of the home; one daughter and son in law: Patti and Russell Reep of Gastonia, North Carolina; one son and daughter in law: Ricky Reid, Sr and Nancy Deal of Gastonia, North Carolina; three grandchildren: Ricky Reid Deal, Jr., Bradley Deal, Paige Davis and husband Joseph; one great grandson: Kamden Reid Deal.
Joyce was the daughter of the late Clyde Dixon Mitchell, Sr and Mildred Dean Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Clyde Dixon Mitchell, Jr.
A Life Well Celebrated Ceremony will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Life Church, 501 Cramer Mountain Road, Cramerton, North Carolina with Reverend Chris Kennedy to deliver words of comfort and hope to Joyce’s family and friends.
Graveside and committal will follow in the Four Season Garden at Gaston Memorial Park.
Joyce’s family will receive guests from 6:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be given in Joyce’s memory to Life Church Missions, 501 Cramer Mountain Road, Cramerton North Carolina 28032.
