Kelly Lewis Mason

Kelly Lewis Mason, 28, of Bessemer City passed away Sunday November 19, 2017. Kelly was a unique, outgoing, loud and energetic person. No matter where Kelly went, he was always the life of the party and carried his contagious smile and laugh with him. If Kelly wasn’t flipping around on his skate and snowboard, you could find him fishing at a pond, hitting golf balls, and trying to help others around him. Kelly cared so dearly about his friends and family, but more importantly he wasn’t shy by his love for Jesus.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Megan Freeman Mason, his parents Jan Lineberger Smith and husband Brad and Stephen Chad Mason and fiancée Kelly Rhyne. Kelly leaves behind his unborn son, Samuel as well as his sister Maddy Mason and brothers: Stephen Mason II, Justin Huggins and wife Amy and Devin Smith. Also grieving the loss of Kelly are his grandparents Lewis and Vickie Lineberger, Steve and Cecilia Mason and Patsy Mason, nephew Carter Mason and niece Veda Huggins

A Celebration of Life for Kelly will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday November 22, 2017 at Rankin Lake Baptist Church, 2705 Gaston Dallas Highway, Dallas.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday November 21, 2017 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia.

Graveside and interment will be held at Westview Gardens, in Bessemer City, immediately following the Celebration of Life Service.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Kelly’s name to The Charlotte Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 33000, Charlotte, NC 28233
