Very sorry for your loss. I remember the stories she would share of her time  with her family and that she always had a smile and a positive outlook.  

Kimberly was truly a gem. In every sense. As someone here has already stated, she made you feel at home. And though we never met outside of work, she always carried with her such an inviting and warm spirit. Her smile was infectious. I always enjoyed hearing stories of Ken, Shelbi, Daniel, Natalie, and Ephriam because she called you all by name often and with love. Being a grandmother was a joy to her and a joy to those of us seeing her in that role. To Kimberly's sweet family, I pray that God wraps you all in comfort and peace forever.

Loss of a mother, wife, sister, and mentor at such an early age is very difficult and hard to understand.  Look to God and his word for comfort and lean on each other to uplift your spirits.  Keep her many memories in your heart especially how Kimberly touched so many lives and how she inspired and helped shaped the lives of her children and those around her.   She was a very special lady and the stories of a great grandmother should be shared with her grandchildren.  My deepest sympathy goes out to the family and my  wish is for peace and understanding.  God be with you all.

To Daniel: 
  I served with you on your mission trip to WVA in ‘18. Not sure that you even knew it, but at that time I had recently lost my mother suddenly. Your bunk and mine were side by side just to help jog your memory. 
That said, I received a poem (included titled: “When tomorrow starts without me”) after my mom’s passing and those words have been very empowering  for me throughout the days, weeks, and years without her. Ive also included a poem that I cherish specifically regarding a mother ...

I pray these words will be of some comfort for you and your family during the days ahead.

The angel said my place was ready, in Heaven far above, and that I’d have to leave behind, all those I dearly love. But when I walked through Heaven’s gates, I felt so much at home, for God looked down, smiled at me, and told me “Welcome Home”. So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right there in your heart.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I love you so much mom. I keep wanting to pick up the phone and call or text you, but I guess maybe this is the next best thing. I miss you so much. I don’t know how we’re going to do this life without you, but I know that we are going to lean on each other and do our very best. You were so strong and I hope to be half as strong as you. I will love you for the rest of my life and I will tell Wesley and Addison all about their Oma. Rest Easy Momma, I’m so glad you are not in pain anymore. No matter how much it breaks my heart.

Mrs. Brock was the sweetest woman ever, I have known her since Shelbi and I were in college together. She always had a smile on her face, and always made you feel at home. She will be missed by many and God is lucky to have her in heaven.

The first time I met Kimberly was in 2012 at the Duke Energy PDWC. Her cell phone rang, and the ring tone was “Dancing Queen” but ABBA. Anytime I hear that song, I think of Kimberly and would usually text her that I had heard the song. It always made me smile when she laughed !!!! You will be greatly missed. 
Kimberly, thank you for all your advise, stories about your kids, and mostly, your friendship. Please tell my husband hello for me. 

Our Duke Energy family has lost one sweet lady!  Such an infectious smile.  Always had kind words and was willing to lend a helpful hand.  Praying for her sweet family.  We felt like we knew each one personally as she was always sharing wonderful stories.  God sure did get a good one.  She will truly be missed.

Kimberly and I worked together at Duke Energy for many years and I'll always remember her as  one of my good friends.   She was smart, pretty (especially with all that curly hair), and fun to be around.  Also, she was a gal who loved Ken and her children beyond measure.  She will be missed by all who knew her, especially me.  Rest in peace, sweet friend.  

Shelbi I love y’all all so much and I am praying for each one of you.Your mama was so sweet and had such a humble spirit, all of you were here world she loved y’all so much.i love her and can not wait until our Heavenly reunion.  Love you all ❤️

My thoughts & prayers are with you, but wanted to say I will always remember Kimberly's smile. Because she was always smiling! I worked with her for many years and loved her family stories, especially the ones about Ephriam. I didn't know her outside of work but I did know how much she loved her family. You all were blessed to have her as your Mom and Grandmother!

Kimberly was a wonderful person and a bright ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her. I will miss her sweet smile and kindness.  I pray that Jesus comforts the Brock family and everyone that knew and loved Kimberly!

My heart goes out to Kimberly’s family. She was such a beautiful, honest, sweet, caring person who I had the pleasure of knowing for over twenty years.  When I walked into work and saw Kim was there, my day instantly brightened. I knew there would be good conversation. 

Over the years, we talked about her children going through school, girlfriends and boyfriends, engagements and weddings, accomplishments, kids craziness, where Ken was off to and when he got home, our moms. Kimberly’s family was her entire life. I’ve never seen anyone love her family as much as this woman did. 

I had the pleasure of showing her how to make bride and groom strawberries for Shelby’s wedding and the last text I received from her was telling me how proud she was of Daniel, that he had saved and planned and surprised her by finding a place that was affordable enough for him to pay first and last months rent and still have some saved money left over. She knew I would appreciate that since we both have children in their twenties trying to launch into adulthood. She told me how Natalie was such a good student and social and Ephram was always her comic relief. She would laugh so hard when she told her Ephram stories. It was beautiful. 

Her love for Ken was so real. Even after 20+ years of marriage, Kimberly would talk about how they met and stories of their life. Even when talking about imperfections,  through all the years, it was clear how much she loved him and how much she missed him when  he was gone.  We talked about the changes with our  husbands when they started being home more. When Ken retired and my husband worked out of the house, we  talked about the adjustment of them being there all the time, but then she also talked about how she really had gotten to enjoy being home with him on her recent leave and how she hoped to be able to stay home with him soon. A true loving marriage.

Goodbye, Kimberly, you were a beautiful woman and you will be greatly missed.

So sad to loose such a sweet caring person... we worked together for many years and she often shared loving funny stories of her family and herself... Kimberly had endless energy, always looking to help and always looking to the future.. She was an inspiration... and still is!

I wish to express my sincere condolences on the loss of someone so dear. It was a great pleasure to have worked with Kimberly. It was an even greater pleasure to have called her a friend. Kimberly had an infectious laugh, a sharp wit, and a great attention to detail, which was always evident in her work. I fondly recall stories of her children, all of whom she loved well, and I have no doubt that she has left each of you wonderful memories to cherish.
