Maggie McKee

Maggie’s largest love in life was her children and her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and family gatherings with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband, George Leroy McKee, Jr.; brother, Willie Brown; sister, Myrtle Lynn and grandson Charles “Chuck” Nolen, II and Jason Nolen.

Maggie is survived by her children, Kathy Nolen, Peggy Archer and husband Frank, and Kelly McKee; grandchildren, Allan Archer, Greg Archer, Jessie Nolen, Heather Montgomery, Shannon Walker, Cody Nolen, Michael Stegall, Matthew Johnson, Trenton Ballard, George “Trey” McKee, III, and Ashley McKee; great grandchildren, Kaden Archer, Katlyn Nolen, Grace Archer and Brison Nolen, Cam Montgomery, Kylee Montgomery, Levi Montgomery; brother, David Brown and sister, Mary Eury.

A visitation for Maggie will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. A committal service will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 607 McKnight Street, Belmont, NC 28012.
