Margaret Green Yoder, a young age of 100, was Serenated by Angels and her soul was take to her Heavenly home on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from the Brian Center in Gastonia, North Carolina.

Those left behind to cherish Margaret’s memories and carry on her legacy are her two daughters and son in law: Joanne and David Foerste of Gastonia, North Carolina and Carolyn Henderson of Charlotte, North Carolina; three grandchildren: Beth Cloninger and husband Robert, Eddie Henderson and wife Shanna, Neil White; three great grandchildren: Laura Hughes and husband David, Tristin White and Samantha White; two great-great grandchildren: Noah Hughes and Gabriel Hughes.

Margaret was born in Avery County on December 22, 1917 to the late Newt Green and Matilda Waldrop Green. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 55 years James Memory Yoder who passed away in 1986. Along with her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded by her six brothers, four sisters and one loving grandson, Todd White who passed in 1999.

A Life Well Celebrated Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday ~ January 15, 2018 in the chapel at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina with Reverend Keith Grindle to deliver words of comfort to Margaret’s family and friends.

Graveside and interment will follow in the Singing Tower Garden at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive guests from 1:00 PM ~ 2:00 PM Monday prior to the service.
