Melinda Susanne Causey, age 53, of Stanley, North Carolina passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022. Melinda was born September 11, 1968 in Gastonia, North Carolina.

Melinda had a long career with the Gaston Gazette. She enjoyed being with family and friends, reading and the beach.

She is survived by her parents, Earl and Shirley Brackett; husband, Robert Causey; daughter, Kelsey Causey; brother, George Brackett and wife Mary; sister-in-law, Sherry Causey and extended family.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Gaston Memorial Park.
