

Mildred Louise (Rudisill) Dellinger, 92, went to her heavenly home on Saturday October 16, 2021 while living at Courtland Terrace in Gastonia. Mildred was a devout Christian. She had a strong faith in Jesus and her family says that she was a prayer warrior. She was also very family oriented. She was a faithful daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She used to cook Southern staples and gather her family together for food and fellowship. Her family fondly remembers her Country Fried Steak, her Potato Salad, her Cornbread and her Banana Pudding. The family cherishes the memories they have and all that knew and loved her will dearly miss Mildred.
Mildred is the daughter of the late Genva Rogers Rudisill and Peter Rudisill. She is preceded in death by her husband Lee Brown Dellinger, Jr. and her siblings, Howard, Earnest, Harold, Jimmy, Johnny and Walter Rudisill, also Sarah Sisk and Gale Wilson. Surviving siblings are Betty Hermes, Martha Hovis, Fred Rudisill and Roger Rudisill.
Surviving her son Daniel Dellinger and his wife Lynn, and her grandchildren, Daniel Dellinger, Jr., Sarah Horne and Krista Keck. Her legacy includes 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service and committal will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in the Singing Tower Garden at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S. New Hope Road, Gastonia here family and friends will have an opportunity to share their fond memories of Mildred.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Mildred’s name to Lake Wylie Christian Assembly.
