Dr. Murray Carol King

Hampstead, NC – Dr. Murray Carol Hill King, age 76, of Hampstead, North Carolina and formerly of Gastonia, died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at New Hanover Regional Hospital, Wilmington. Dr. King was born in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Claude Watson and Margaret Gardner Hill.

Dr. King retired as Administrative Assistant at North Carolina Orthopedic Hospital, Gastonia.

Dr. King is survived by her husband of 53 years, Cornis Lamar King, Jr.; one daughter: Sidna King Marchant and husband James of Lincolnton; two sisters: Billie Faye Christopher of Gastonia, Betty Short of Concord; one grandson, Eric Rhyne; four great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 in the Dogwood Section of Gaston Memorial Park with the Rev. Don Mott officiating.

Dr. King was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Trey Rhyne.
