Peggy Marie Still Thomas

Peggy Marie Still Thomas, age 72, of Gastonia, passed away at her residence with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Thomas was born in Gastonia and was the daughter of the late Elton Lovette and Ollie Mae Glisson Still.

Mrs. Thomas was a former employee of PAMA Manufacturing Company and retired from Stabilus Inc. after 16 years service. She was a member of Sharing and Caring Club, member of Gastonia Bowling Leagues from 1967 to 1981, former Girl Scout of Gaston County and a member of Firestone Wesleyan Church where she was a member of the Senior Group.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by two daughters, Jeannie Lamb and fiancé Odell May, Stonie Lynn Messer and husband Wayne of Gastonia; one son, Larry “Toby” Thomas of Gastonia; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 P. M. to 1:00 P. M. Tuesday at Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Tuesday in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia with Pastor Roger Parsons officiating.

Interment will be private in Gaston Memorial Park.

Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Reita Swanson; brother, John Elton Still.
