He served in the Army and was a retiree of the City Police Department of Gastonia. Reggie enjoyed collecting coins and Hot Wheels. He took pride in researching his family tree and genealogy. Reggie spent his spare time vacationing at the beach and mountains in Pigeon Forge, TN. His presence will truly be missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his son, Reggie Daryl Stanford, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Stanford; daughter, Michelle Hill and husband Edward Hawkins; grandchildren, Ashley and David Hill; great grandchildren, Zoey and Myah Hill; brother, Randy Stanford; niece, Brandy Stanford; and aunt and uncle, Barbara and Michael Stanford.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, December 3, 2021 in Cardinal Hall at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 4, 2021 in Cardinal Hall with a visitation held from 11:00 am until time of service. A committal service will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Testa Family Hospice House in Cleveland County.
