Robert Lee Perkins Jr., age 94 passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025. He is survived by his 2 sons, Robert Eugene Perkins and Keith Perkins; grandchildren, Bryan Cathey, Sherrie Perkins and Daniel Perkins; and several great grandchildren; and a sister, Jane Martiin.
Robert Perkins (known to all his friends as Buddy) was a Korean War Veteran who served in the Amry and participated in Operation Ivy atomic tests in the Marshall Islands in 1952.
Robert was happily married to Carolyn Faye Hoffman for 56 years.
A graveside service for Robert will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
