Timothy was a very kind-hearted and generous man with a great sense of humor. He loved Jesus, his family, southern home cooking, and the Carolina Tar Heels. Timothy brightened every room with his presence and will be greatly missed by all who have known him.
Timothy is survived by his brothers: Steve Jacobs, Jeff Jacobs, and Gene Jacobs; his son, Timothy Jacobs; his daughter, Dana Patterson, and her husband Adam Patterson; his grandchildren: Lauryn Jacobs, Haleigh Wall, Dawson Hartness, Skylan Jacobs, Sidney Hartness, Gabriel Jacobs and Payton Jacobs; and his great-grandchildren: Jackson and Avery.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Jacobs, and his mother, Martha Jacobs.
After graduating from high school, Timothy served in the Marine Corps. He then pursued higher education at Guilford College, where he earned a Criminal Justice degree. Timothy went on to become a Policeman in High Point before transitioning to a career in sales, from which he retired.
In his free time, Timothy enjoyed playing racquetball and basketball. He loved watching his favorite football team the Panthers.
A committal service for Timothy will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Salisbury National Cemetery, 202 Government Road, Salisbury, North Carolina 28144. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 PM at City Church, 3100 City Church St. Gastonia, NC 28056.
