

Vincent “Vinny Casablanca, Jr. went to be with the Lord March 13, 2022. He was born August 6, 1947 in Yonkers, New York. He was an avid fan of the New York Rangers Hockey team. He proudly served in U. S. Army and was a combat veteran and a three times Purple Heart Recipient along with many other medals of the Vietnam War. Following his service, he was a truck driver and a security guard for a nuclear plant in South Carolina. Vinny’s passion was to serve and bring joy to his fellow man.
He is survived by spouse Lorraine and stepdaughters Tiffany Munn and Stacey (Case) Ayers, and granddaughter Makayla Miller who held a special place in his heart.
He is preceded in death by his first spouse Elodia Casablanca. Also survived by daughter Desiree Casablanca, Annette Strothers (Matthews), and son Vincent Casablanca III. Sisters, Cheryl McQuade, Brothers Kenny Casablanca, and Todd Casablanca. He is survived by 10 Grandchildren and 5 Great- Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Shirley Casablanca and sisters, June Ann Casablanca, and Paula Berardi.
The family would like to thank the CCCU at CaroMont Memorial Hospital for their care.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday March 19, 2022 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. Receiving of friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
