William Lee Robinson

A native of Lawrence County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Joseph Absalom Robinson and Ollie Nash Robinson.

Mr. Robinson was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Arnold Douglas Robinson and wife, Ida Hall Robinson of Gastonia; grandchildren, Leigh Robinson Kellogg and husband, David Royal Kellogg of Myrtle Beach, SC, Arnold Douglas Robinson Jr. and wife, Mary Susan Lucas of Gastonia; great grandchildren, Thomas Royal Kellogg and Benjamin Douglas Kellogg of Myrtle Beach, SC, Andrew Phillip Robinson of Gastonia; brother-in-law, Floyd Hawks Jr. and wife, Violet of Gastonia; sisters-in-law, Jessie McDow of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Mildred Connor and husband, Don of Archer, Florida.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Rita Curtis Robinson; brother, Floyd James Robinson; sisters, Vena Mae Robinson Johnson, Idell Robinson Hawks, and Ivanell Robinson Wilson.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Sandy Plains Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Hensley officiating.

Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday in the Family Life Center of Sandy Plains Baptist Church.
