We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Heinz at the age of 73 on December 20, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth, step-father of Christopher (Jennie) and Ellen Lambert, son of the late Erika and Heinz, brother of Hans (Joyce), uncle of Conor and Anya (Rob), great-uncle of Rowan, half-brother of Antje, Barbel and Hajo, brother-in-law of Linda, Margaret (Jim) and Scott (Rob) Williams.
Heinz was a kind man who tried to brighten everyone’s day with his quick wit. He enjoyed doing puzzles, watching the news, and had a fascination for science and geography. He loved travelling with his wife, who was the love of his life, and his dear friends, Jennifer and Brian. He was lucky to have had a long career at Statistics Canada and was proud to have been one of the first councillors of the village of Cantley, Quebec.
