

He was born in Carmine, Texas to Alwin and Alien Schumann. He married Dorothy Stegall in September 1957. A. C. loved hunting with his sons, grandsons and son-in-law. He couldn’t have been prouder when his grandsons Alex and Wesley got their first deer. A. C. had many a deer that would wander into his yard each evening waiting for him to throw out corn for them to eat. A. C. was well known for his wonderful gardens and greenhouse. Jalapeno peppers and tomatoes were his specialty. Many a neighbor benefitted from his gift. His house was always the hangout house when his children were growing up.
He was preceded in death by his father Alwin Schumann and daughter-in-law Cindy Schumann.
A. C. leaves a wonderful wife of 52 years, Dorothy; three children, Dianna Ham and husband Stephen, Clay Schumann and Alan Schumann and wife Denise; mother, Alien Schumann; and grandchildren, April Schumann, Julie Ham, Hunter Schumann, Devan Schumann, Alexander Schumann, Wesley Ham, Leighton Schumann, Danielle Schumann, Dawn Schumann and Dylon Schumann.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in A.C. honor to: New Hope Baptist Church Building Renovation Fund, 200 W. New Hope Drive, Cedar Park, Texas 78613.
