

Alvin “Bruce” Faulk went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully Sunday, March 13, 2016 in his home in Georgetown, Texas. Bruce was born in Crowley, Louisiana on April 9, 1925, to Carruth and Gussie Jones Faulk. Bruce served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from Exxon in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was devoted to his wife Sybil “Rae” Reed Faulk whom he met and married in August 1946, shortly after returning from the service.
Bruce was a very loving, kind gentleman and always wanted to please. He loved his family and circle of friends, his job with Exxon working in the mathematics and computing department, gardening and outdoors. Planted over 3000 trees at Rae’s home place in Crowley and grew 8’ tall okra and corn in his backyard in Baton Rouge. He was very proud of his family. Bruce was very detailed oriented and loved music, including singing with barber shop quartets and playing the French harp (harmonica). He was a devoted Christian and was a member of Georgetown Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil “Rae” Faulk; son, Hal Faulk and wife Katy of Liberty Hill, TX; grandchildren, Stacey Faulk and husband Jim Jeffrey of Hutto,TX, Tim Faulk and wife Becky of Mukilteo, WA, Terrell Faulk and wife Robin of Hutto, TX, Reed Faulk, Matthew Faulk and Lauren Faulk; great-grandchildren, Jason Seaton and wife Kelly, Brandon Faulk, Tyler Wootton, Tori Faulk, Dalton Faulk, and Hayden Faulk; great great-grandchildren, Gage and Cannon Seaton; and many friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his son Wayne Bruce Faulk, grandson Todd Faulk, parents Carruth and Gussie Faulk, and his sisters Barbara “Bobbie” Sarver and Joyce Sing.
A graveside service will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 17, 2016. If you would like to attend the service, you may either meet at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. before the service for his procession or the gate entrance of the cemetery just before 2:00 P.M.
