She was born March 21, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois to Peter and Mary Bleskan. She met her husband, Richard, in Chicago, and they moved to Texas after they were married in 1958. She worked many years as an administrator in the defense technology industry and retired from Lockheed Martin in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Richard. Also preceding her in death was a son, William, and brothers George, Peter, Bob, Ralph, and Tom, and sisters Emily, Eleanor, and Rose.
Survivors include a brother, John Bleskan, of Dahlonega, GA; a sister, MaryAnn McCammon, of Jacksonville, FL; son Paul Szostak and wife Teresa of Austin, TX, and grandchildren, Matthew Szostak and Kerry Szostak; son Tom Szostak of Irvine, CA; son David Szostak and companion Paula Baker of League City, TX; and daughter-in-law Teresa Szostak of Cypress, TX and her children Amy Barrett and Shannon Smith and great-grandson, Dade Smith.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 N IH 35, Pflugerville, TX, followed by graveside service at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution are suggested to be made to the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago.
