
Beverly Maritt Jackson was born November 13, 1939 to Earl and Hazel Maritt in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and passed away on May 27, 2015. She grew up in Bartlesville and attended Bartlesville public schools and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1961 with a B. A. in Secretarial Studies. Beverly was active in the Gamma Phi Beta sorority.
After Graduating from OSU she moved to Dallas, Texas to work for Texas Instruments. Later that year she met and married George Jackson. After her children were born she became a full time mother and housewife, going back to work at Motion Control when her youngest child received his driver license.
After retirement she and George moved to Sun City where she participated in several bridge clubs, was an original member of the Sun City Georgettes, and a member of the Square Dance Club. She also enjoyed travelling and her favorite trip was to South Africa.
She is survived by her husband George Jackson, son John and wife Lezlie Jackson of Austin, son Paul Wesley Jackson of Delray Beach, Florida, granddaughters Christine and Elizabeth Jackson of Austin, sister Barbara Pacholek (Mike), of Louisville, Kentucky, and brother Donald Maritt (Donna) of Joshua, Texas.
In her last years with Lewy Body Dementia, she was cared for with great care by Capaicina Walton, and Chanelle Cotton.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 29, 2015 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home. Interment followed at Goldthwaite Cemetery in Goldthwaite, Texas.
The family requests any memorial contributions be made to the Georgetown First United Methodist Church.
