Bobby Louis Darling

Bobby was born October 23, 1930, in Pettus, Texas to Louis Landon and Opal Darling. Bobby married Lou Worthey on June 21, 1949, at Rosedale Baptist Church in Austin, Texas. Together they had a daughter, Louise. Bobby and Lou spent many nights and weekends playing dominos, cards, and fishing with their family. Many memories were made with their family taking trips as often as possible. Bobby's favorite destinations were Petit Jean State park in Arkansas and Rockport.

Bobby worked at the family business, Darling Cleaners, in Austin, Texas for over 40 years.

Bobby is preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Lou Darling; his parents, Louis Landon and Opal Darling, and his sister, Clarice Gregg. He is survived by his daughter, Louise Stubblefield and her husband Mike; his granddaughters, Melissa Frederick and Stacey Warren; his great-grandchildren, Katelyn Moore, Korbin Frederick, and Reagan Warren.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all the wonderful caregivers at Enhabit Hospice of Austin and to Bobby's friend and caregiver, Diana Pernitza.

A graveside service for Bobby will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Drive, Austin, TX 78731.
