Byron Alfred (BJ) Ross Jr.

Byron Alfred Ross, Jr. (BJ to his family) of Georgetown, Texas, passed into the Arms of Jesus at 3:30 pm on Saturday, the fourth of February in the year of Our Lord, 2012. BJ was born on the twenty-fifth day of September in 1958, the first-born of four to Byron Alfred Ross Sr. and Wanda Lou O’Kelley Ross.

BJ was a beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. He was the father figure to his nieces and nephews who had no father, mentor to those with whom he worked with, lover of all things beautiful and an avid gardener. His magnificent yard was always the envy of his neighbors. When he smiled, that handsome smile brought sunshine into the lives of those around him.

BJ is survived by his mother, Wanda Lou Ross Cochrane of Georgetown, Texas; two sisters, Carol Ross of Georgetown, Texas and Cheryl Ross of Lewisville, Texas; a brother, Allen Ross and family of Pflugerville, Texas; nieces, Michelle Reasonover and family of Georgetown, Texas, Wanda Ivicic and family of Georgetown, Texas, Sarah Ross Andon and family of San Tan, Arizona, Tabitha Amber Ross of Austin, Texas and Celine Ross of Pflugerville, Texas; nephews, Travis Collins, Micheal Ross and Jon Ross, all of Georgetown and William Allen Ross II and Robert Lee Ross of Austin, Texas; and further extended family.

The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 6, 2012 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
