

Calistro “Carlos” Belma Sandoval, 89, of Bertram, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in Georgetown, TX. Born on October 14, 1934, Carlos was a small but mighty man, known for his quiet demeanor and his knack for storytelling. He had a wealth of experiences to share with those who would lend an ear.
Carlos proudly served in the U.S. Army, demonstrating his dedication and commitment to his country. After his military service, he pursued a career as a Horse Ferrier, a plumber, and a farmer. Carlos had a passion for horses, which he cultivated as a hobby throughout his life.
Carlos will be dearly missed by his loved ones. He is survived by his sister, Elena Sandoval Alaniz, and his children: Roman Sandoval (Irma Flores Rodriguez), Sylvia Aguilar, (Camarino Gomez), Susie Sandoval, (Faustino Ramos), and Romaldo Sandoval (Perry Juliano). He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Marc Anthony Soler, Adam Isidro Soler, Matthew Allen Gamez, Stefanie Renae Sandoval, Timothy Carl Sandoval, Trevor Gregory Sandoval, Christopher Rene Enriquez, and Jeffrey Nino. Additionally, Carlos was blessed with 27 great-grandchildren and countless nephews and nieces.
Carlos was preceded in death by his father, Romulo Sandoval, and his mother, Epifania Belmares Sandoval and 14 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
