Carnell B. Potts

Carnell B. Potts (aka Nell, Punch), age 94, of Cedar Park, Texas, entered into eternal life with her Heavenly Father on December 8, 2016. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016, at Bear Creek Cemetery, Bertram, Texas. Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Lamar Guthrie and Bobby Guthrie.

Born in Sidney, Texas, on April 10, 1922 to John Thomas and Minnie E. (McNeill) Guthrie, she was one of 12 children born of that union. Carnell grew up in Sidney, Comanche County, Texas. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1940. After graduation, she moved to San Angelo, Texas, where she met and married Roy (Jack) Potts, Jr., and they settled in the Austin area. Three children were produced of that union.

To cherish her memory, Carnell leaves behind three children: Eddie D. (Bonnie) Potts, Joyce Masey, and Tom (Jo Annah) Potts, as well as 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at the New Hope Manor for their love and care during her last year.
