Claudette (Claudia) Mary Harkins, born of Adam Edwards Tomes and Patricia Louise Tomes-Schneider in Milwaukee, WI on January 16, 1958 went to rest in the arms of our King on November 21, 2012. Claudia faithfully lived a live that honored her Lord and Savior. She fought a tough battle against ovarian cancer for nearly 5 years. Through this she found her strength in Christ and never wavered in her faith, continually giving Praise and Glory to God. She rose victoriously in the end ultimately winning the battle!
As a stay at home mother, holding strong to her values, in her early years, she then followed in her mother’s foot steps to take on a professional career as an Electrologist in her later years. Claudia was known for touching many lives in every aspect of her life. She enjoyed using her God given artistic talents to create most everything from jewelry, painting, writing, crocheting, knitting, sewing and so much more. She spent this time receiving from the Holy Spirit which inspired each creation. Her heart’s desire was that whoever’s hand her work ended up in, they would be blessed in the same way if not more then she was creating it.
Claudia is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Robert Harkins, Cedar Park, TX; her adored daughters, Valerie Ann Harkins, Laura Ashley Harkins, Cedar Park, TX, Angela Marie Rose and her spouse Alan Rose, Carrsville, VA.
