Clifford Ray Domel

Clifford was born October 29, 1965 in Georgetown, Texas to Gloria (née Chapman) Millegan and Clarence Domel. Clifford graduated from Georgetown High School in 1984 and the following year, married his “high school sweetheart", Serena (née Marshall) Robbins, in 1985. Clifford attended the Temple Fire Academy in 1988 and upon completion of his training, began working as a Firefighter for the City of Taylor. By 1990, he had begun working for the Georgetown Fire Department where he remained for a total of 22 years, retiring as a Lieutenant in 2012. When he wasn’t working at the Fire Station, Clifford enjoyed towing vehicles for Glass Wrecker Service and competing as a “Heeler” in Team Roping on his long-time, four-legged companion, Dunny. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and three wheelers; a passion that he later shared with his children.

Clifford is survived by his two daughters, Carissa Powell and her husband Michael, and Linley Domel; his siblings, Clarence Lee Domel, Theresa Domel, Cynthia Proctor, Cecil Domel and Clayton Domel; his former spouse and life-long friend Serena Robbins; and his beloved granddaughter, whom he adored more than anything else, Carter Faye Powell.

Clifford is preceded in death by his parents, Gloria Millegan and Clarence Domel; his stepfather, Jodie Millegan; his maternal grandparents, Dura and Gifford Chapman; his paternal grandparents, Frieda and Walter Domel Sr.; and his beloved horse, Dunny.

A visitation for Clifford will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, Georgetown, Texas. A Celebration of Life service will occur Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM, Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home. Officiating the services will be Clifford’s cousin and mentor, Bob Champion. In honor of his service and dedication to the City of Georgetown, Police and Fire escorts will lead the procession from the funeral home immediately following the Celebration of Life. An honorable graveside service will be conducted at the Jonah Cemetery, Georgetown, Texas.
