Cliff grew up with his parents working in the dairy industry and farming. He loved spending time playing in the rice paddies in Galveston with his brothers and was greatly amused by irritating his sisters. He loved reliving the stories of those times. He joined the Navy after high school and served 4 years on the USS O'Bannon during the Korean war. Cliff worked as a mechanic most of his life becoming a vocational teacher at Friendswood High School. He was a volunteer for the Gonzales fire department, loved flying,, piloting small aircraft, and working on the dairy farms in Crockett and Nacogdoches,TX. His 3 kids grew up knowing what hard work was, the love of playing in hay barns, driving tractors, helping in the milk barn and gardening. Spending time fishing at the ocean was his happy place.
The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude for the care and concern from Wesleyan Hospice in Georgetown, TX.In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Cliff's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A link is to the left on this page.
