Donald W. French was born January 9, 1930 in Algona, Iowa to Bertha and Wendell French. He passed away on September 29, 2011 in Georgetown, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Jean French. He is survived by his three daughters, Deborah Baker and husband Paul of Hillsboro, Rebecca French of Fort Worth, Deanna Williams and husband Larry of Dallas and his five grandchildren, Katherine Baker, Jennifer Baker, Paul Caswell Baker, Sam Williams and Joe Williams.
He is also survived by his nephew Tim Beamish and wife LeAnn of Fort Worth, his niece Karen Kittle and husband Marion of Fort Worth and many friends in Iowa, Minnesota, California and Texas including his special friend, Sue Bawcom of Georgetown, Tx.
Don was a generous, loving father, grandfather and friend. His love for America, all things aviation and learning new things every day was known by all that knew him. He will be remembered for these things and many more.
His memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 2nd at the First United Methodist Church in Georgetown, Texas at 2:00 pm.
