Donald Wayne Wright

Don Wright, 53, of Jarrell, Texas passed away on January 15, 2018 at home. Don was born on Altus Air Force Base in Jackson, Oklahoma to Wilburn Wright and Joyce Harris Wright on May 14, 1962. As a child Don lived in Heflin, Louisiana before moving to Jarrell. He went to high school at Jarrell High School and graduated in 1984. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree and MBA from Texas State University. Don worked as a quality control manager for Samsung and Freescale for 20 years. In recent years he worked at AR Machining. Don is remembered as a fun loving guy. Friends and family enjoyed his quick wit and his ability to make everyone laugh. He enjoyed the time he spent learning to become a pilot. He also enjoyed deep sea fishing and made trips to Costa Rica, Mexico and the Texas Coast with friends and family. Hunting was a favorite activity and he enjoyed many hunting experiences in Jarrell with his dear friends Mike Klepac and Theron Proctor. In recent years Don enjoyed canning and cooking with his wife Debbie.Don adored his children, Mason and Mallory, and enjoyed watching as they grew to be young adults. He and Mason enjoyed shooting guns together and hunting. A special time for Mallory and her dad was her senior year when he bought her a goat for FFA and helped her raise it. Don was proud of his children and felt blessed to be their father. Don is preceded in death by his father Wilburn Wright, his mother Joyce Harris Wright, his brother William Edward Wright, his sister Cyndi Wright Smith, and his nieces Brandi and Stacy Smith. Don is survived by his wife Debbie Cloud Wright. He is also survived by his children Mason Edward Wright of Houston and Mallory Kay Wright of Stephenville. He is further survived by his aunts and uncles Ruby Harris Fairchild and Patrick Fairchild and Gladys Harris Seymour and Huey Seymour. He is also survived by cousins in Texas and Louisiana.
