Douglas Gene Peschka

Douglas was born July 19, 1935 in Magnolia, Texas to Adolph and Joyce Peschka. Douglas graduated from Austin High School. He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1953. After serving several years with the Marine Corp, Douglas left active service and then began his journey as a proud member of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Local Union 482 for the next 59 years. Douglas was initiated into the Masonic Order on March 14, 1961, and held the rank of Master Mason for 61 years.

Douglas was preceded in death by his daughter,Terrye Lynne Bean.

Douglas is survived by his wife Betty Jo; brother, James Peschka of Austin Texas; daughter Sharon and husband Charles Edwards of Glendale, Arizona; son Michael Peschka and wife Sandra of Arlington, Texas; grand-daughter Laura of Phoenix, Arizona; grandsons Johnathan Edwards and wife Francesca of Arlington, Virginia, Tyler and Ryan of Arlington, Texas; great-grand-daughter Jayden of Fort Belvoir, Virginia; great-grandson Christopher of Fort Belvoir, Virginia and Leonardo of Arlington, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas. Burial will follow at 2 pm at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am prior to the service at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas.
