Fawn Marie Duncan

Fawn Marie ("Muffy Essl") Duncan passed away peacefully and with her loved ones on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in Austin, Texas at the age of 56. She leaves behind her husband of 35 years, Dale; her two daughters, Kristin, 25 and Kaitlin, 24; and her two sweet granddaughters, Lillith, age 2 1/2, and Aubrey, age 14 months, whom she loved very dearly.

Fawn was born on December 9, 1959, in the town of Lasalle-Peru, Illinois to mother Carol Jean (McConnell) Essl, and father Richard John Essl. She also grew up in a large family with two siblings to keep her company. She graduated from Lasalle-Peru High School in 1976, where she made many wonderful friends and enjoyed being a "cavalier cheerleader". She then made her way to Texas, where she would meet the love of her life, Dale Calvin Duncan. They would then marry on January 24, 1981. After trying for a family for many years they were beyond excited to welcome their first child Kristin in 1990, and then soon after welcomed their second child Kaitlin in 1991. Fawn worked for many years at Dell computer, and then took up a passion for teaching young children. She also enjoyed doing volunteer work in her home community, with programs such as Blue Santa gift drive, and working stations at the Christmas Stroll on the Square in Georgetown, Texas.

Fawn is survived by her husband and children; as well as her siblings, Rob Essl and Bobbie LaPointe; and mother, Carol Essl. She also has numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her father Richard Essl.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with Pastor Steve Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
