       We have many memories of Jack, and we were Blessed to have him for a short time to make us smile. He was a kind man and never had anything bad to say about anyone. 
        We rode many miles on motorcycles and in our pickup truck to rallies and camping sites. Jack liked a cup of coffee in the morning when we camped and he  knew we carried a coffee pot and that we always made fresh coffee. He would come to our site with an empty cup and we would give him a cup and enjoy his visits.
         If anyone knew Jack you knew he wasn't a fan of drinking  a lot of water. 
 I have told this story before. One day at the  R.O.T. rallie  it was hot and we were waiting for Charlie Daniels concert to start. I went out got 2 water bottles and came back in , handed Jack a bottle and he took it and we never said a word. He drank the whole bottle and we still never said anything. He needed the water! It was strange because he never finished a water, or at least I never saw him drink a whole bottle.  One trip to Luling water melon thump Jack dropped his bike in Lockhart, one block before Dairy Queen. Got the bike up and got to D.Q. had to help Jack get off the bike. I said we need to call an ambulance and Jack said "NO", I said he may need artificial resuscitation, Jack smiled up at Sandra, with a sparkle in his eyes, I said no, I would do it. Jack sure lost that smile real fast. Sandra told you about Jack and him rubbing her leg, it was very funny, you had to be there to see the look on Sandra's startled face. One day at Stonewall we opened the curtains and there was Jack with his dog Kia sitting on the picnic table waiting for me to come out. Like a 5 year old waiting for his friend to come out to play. He didn't knock on the door either. Sandra thought it was so cute.
       Jack liked to pull pranks on Sandra and tell her some cute off color jokes to get her to laugh.  We will miss him and he is riding up in heaven, and telling me I am the 100th customer. A joke we had .

I always enjoyed Jacks company and being around him. 
We rode many miles with Jack on our Goldwings and he visited at our home and we went out to eat every Friday night after Ed and I got off work, to end our week.
There were times when we would  be at a rally and I would see Jack sitting resting and I'd sit down and chat with him, we'd talk about various things and then we'd see this woman walk by in tight tight jeans and Jack would ask, "How do you think she got into those pants?"  I'd say "Very carefully Jack" then we'd both laugh.
On one of our trips we stopped at The Hico Cafe for lunch on our way back to Austin, (I would always tease on our various rides that I wanted to sit by Jack so that I could play with his leg but had never done so) we were all sitting at our table with our menus when I reached over and placed my hand on Jacks leg, he was so surprised that he jerked his menu and knocked over his water glass spilling it across the table into the couple across from us. We all had a good laugh about that.
A few weeks later on his 80th birthday his children had a surprise birthday party for him. I had never worn shorts to any of our outings but this time I did. I was sitting at the picnic table and Jack came over and sat down beside me as usual, in a few minutes he reached over and put his hand on my leg and started moving it upward, I was so shocked I said "Jack what are you doing?" I looked at him and he was grinning, looking over at Ed. He said Paybacks are great. Needless to say I was very embarrassed. 
There was another time when we were having a safety course and Jack ask the instructor if he was going to show us how to pick up our bike. I said Jack you know how to do it and preceded to tell him, when he said "I know how to do it I just can't get it up"  well you could hear eyes snapping in our direction. Not knowing what to do I finally said to him " it sounds like you have a personal problem to me" and every one died laughing. We loved him a lot.

My husband, J R, and I loved riding with Jack.  He was always in a good mood and had a smile on his face.  Jack and I shared a love for the Blues and especially Buddy Guy.  We had a good trip to Big  Ben Park along with  Israel G. and Bob and M J.
