

Jackie Lloyd Neill was born on January 21, 1944 to Evelyn Mattie Nichols Neill of San Antonio, Texas. He took his final journey at 2:12 a.m. with our Lord on November 5, 2024.
Jackie is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years Betty A. Hinkle Neill of Round Rock, Texas. Jackie could be a very charming man with a good sense of humor. He was also a loyal, supportive, protective and loving husband. Jackie and Betty were there for one another with unconditional love throughout the good times and the bad.
He also leaves behind his sister, Barbara “Bobbie” Neill Segreto and Frank Segreto of North Carolina. His daughter Christine Neill-Hale, and spouse Kristi Hale of New Bern, North Carolina. His daughter Mary “Leah” Chapman and husband Dennis Chapman of Round Rock,Texas. In addition, Christy and Leah’s mother, Dian Edwards.
Jackie has eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Kleat Norris and Rima Issa, Kaley Norris and great grandson Dominic Oltmans, Hannah Chapman Duncan and husband Don Duncan and great granddaughter Amber. Adam Chapman and Azalea Chapman of Round Rock. Extended family members include Betty’s sons who Jackie referred to as his sons include Billy and Susana Fletcher and children Avalon, Louis, and Josephine of Austin, TX. Jeb and Kristina Fletcher of Houston, TX, and children Emma and Aidan. Chad Fletcher and Rose of Kingsland, TX, and son, Jake.
Jackie enjoyed life fully and was an avid Texas Longhorn and Dallas Cowboys fan. He and Betty enjoyed spending time with Don and Tammy Fariss in Port Aransas, Texas Jackie spent many hours in Port A., over the years playing games, watching football, fishing, boating, and having cocktails and cookouts with family and friends.. Don and Jackie were best of friends for many many years. Jackie proudly referred to Don as “brother” whom he truly loved. Don would say they were “podnahs, and Betty would smile and add, podnahs in crime “the good, the bad, and the ugly.”
Jackie left this world with a peaceful heart and with his loving wife by his side. He passed away knowing he was loved deeply by his family and friends in which he found great comfort. He was very proud of his whole family.
Special Thanks go out to Billy Fletcher for going above and beyond to help Betty take care of Jack following his surgery and for providing around the clock assistance in these final weeks.
Additional thanks go out to all of the Trinity Care medical, administrative, and direct care staff, who took excellent care of Jackie and were particularly helpful and kind during Jackie’s illness. Thank you to the Hospice team who made Jackie’s transition more comfortable and for providing Betty and the family with care and compassion. The family will forever be grateful.
A Memorial Service for Jackie will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 1 P.M. at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628, followed by a light reception.
